 Kalama® C-8 Aldehyde  is an important flavor and fragrance agent.It is also known as octyl aldehyde and caprylaldehyde. As a fragrance compound it is used in soaps and detergents as well as “light fragrances” and creams requiring a citrus character. It is used in foods as a flavoring agent for baked goods, candy, ice cream, and gelatins.
