Cinnamic Alcohol FCC

Kalama® Cinnamic Alcohol is an aromatic alcohol which is a valuable component in perfume compositions. It adds spicy oriental notes to soap, perfumes, and household items. It exists in nature but by far the majority of the cinnamic alcohol used is produced synthetically, by the reduction of cinnamic alcohol. It is a colorless, crystalline solid with a hyacinth-like balsamic odor. Kalama® Cinnamic alcohol is also used as a starting material for the synthesis of fragrance compounds, such as cinnamyl acetate, formate, propionate, and cinnamate, and for several pharmaceutical products.
