Masil® SF 201

MASIL® SF 201 is a vinyl-terminated silicone polymer that may be heat-cured or room temperature cured (RTV).  It is normally cured with 2 to 4% by weight of MASIL® XL-1 Crosslinker system and a catalyst at 20 ppm that must be incorporated into the polymer, not the crosslinker. This polymer vulcanizes via an addition reaction and does not produce volatile gases during curing.  MASIL® SF 201 can be used as the base polymer in silicone elastomers to provide a noncorrosive protective shield against water, dirt and other harmful contaminants in mold-making rubber and electical / electronic encapsulation applications.
