Nychem® 1563

Nychem® 1563 is one of our Specialty Emulsion offerings. It is a noncarboxylated acrylonitrile butadiene styrene polymer latex with a low nitrile content featuring a balance of good resistance to both polar and nonpolar solvents. Nychem® 1563 also possesses good toughness/resilience, and tear and abrasion resistance. Toughness, abrasion resistance and chemical resistance can be further enhanced though either vulcanization or by adding external crosslinking agents such as melamines, epoxies, phenolics or metal complexes. Nychem® 1563 is stabilized with natural surfactants so it exhibits excellent water and alkali resistance and, if desired, can be easily destabilized.
